Ralf: Haas could consider partnering with Cadillac

Speaking to Bild about the General Motors-backed manufacturer's entry into the grid and its impact on the existing American team, six-time race winner Ralf Schumacher suggested that the Ayao Komatsu-led team could become a 'junior team' for Cadillac.
"They don't have to be sold to be competitive," Schumacher said.
"But I would look for a partner – a junior team, like the Racing Bulls are for Red Bull."
"Maybe if Cadillac enters Formula 1 next year, it might be the right idea," he said.
Haas has been struggling overall this year, despite a strong 14-point performance in China. After an unexpectedly poor showing at the season opener, the team even suspected a structural issue with the car.

"It was a big surprise," Komatsu said at the time.
"We never expected something like this based on the Bahrain tests. Yes, the car wasn't perfect in the tests, but we never expected it to be as bad as it was in Melbourne."
"Gene Haas has no interest in selling the team. He really enjoys being the owner of a Formula 1 team."
"Right now, one of ten teams on the grid will be one of eleven next year. It's a very privileged position."
