According to Indicata data, the online used passenger and light commercial vehicle market saw 1,881,097 vehicles sold in 2023, with sales reaching 2,091,918 in 2024. This represents an 11% year-over-year increase. Last year, a total of 4,546,329 listings were posted, with 46% of these converting into sales.

BEST SELLING BRANDS

Volkswagen was the most preferred brand in the second-hand online market in 2024, with 263,049 sales. Fiat followed with 248,705 sales and Renault with 246,038.

Other brands in the top 10 are:

These 10 brands accounted for 75.4 percent of total sales.

EGEA WAS THE BEST SELLING PASSENGER CAR

1,172,470 vehicles were sold in the used passenger car market in 2024. The Fiat Egea was the most preferred model of the year, with 95,261 sales.

Renault Clio with 76,098, Volkswagen Passat with 74,760, Renault Megane with 74,215, Toyota Corolla with 51,252, Ford Focus with 50,078, Opel Astra with 43,996, BMW 5 Series with 43,343, BMW 3 Series with 40,895 and Volkswagen Polo with 36,874 followed.

These 10 models accounted for 34.3 percent of total sales.

DOBLO IS FIRST IN LIGHT COMMERCIAL

In the light commercial vehicle market, 379,448 vehicles were sold in 2024. The Fiat Doblo ranked first with 49,019 sales.

After Doblo;

Ford Transit/Tourneo Courier (46 thousand 487), Fiat Fiorino (43 thousand 662), Ford Transit/Tourneo Connect (24 thousand 581), Volkswagen Transporter (22 thousand 782), Ford Transit (21 thousand 996), Volkswagen Caddy (20 thousand 147), Renault Kangoo (15 thousand 975), Citroen Berlingo (13 thousand 654), Peugeot Partner (12 thousand 685) arrived.

These 10 models accounted for 71 percent of total light commercial vehicle sales.

RECORD INCREASE IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES

In 2024, diesel vehicles accounted for 57 percent of sales in the used market, while gasoline vehicles accounted for 38 percent. While the share of hybrid vehicles fell by 50.4 percent, sales of electric vehicles increased by 103.6 percent.

FASTEST AND SLOWEST SELLING BRANDS

The average sales speed in the Turkish market was 43 days, with Fiat the fastest-selling brand at 36 days. The slowest-selling brand was Mercedes-Benz at 54 days.
