If you thought you'd seen it all , we're sure we can surprise you yet. This news may seem more like science fiction , but it's something we'll soon see at more than one dealership. If you're one of those who think AI isn't going to take your job , pay attention to what's coming: the Chery Group, one of the largest Chinese manufacturers with its Omoda and Jaecoo brands as spearheads, will soon begin testing its new AiMoga robot to "sell" its cars around the world.

And we put 'sell' in quotes because that won't be its responsibility. At least for now . AiMoga is a 1.67m tall, female-shaped humanoid robot that speaks 10 languages and will assist customers upon arrival at dealerships: " Artificial intelligence can provide us with a wealth of data and analysis , but ultimately, we need human leaders to understand what the data is telling us. It's us, the people, who must decide what to do and when to do it in our company," says Sophie Liu, Human Resources Director at Omoda and Jaecoo in Spain, in a press release provided by both brands. "AI doesn't seek to replace jobs, but rather to transform them," assures the executive. Let's see.

Watching the video, it seems like a promising debut. At the moment, there's no confirmation of when the first robots will arrive in stores. The Chery Group has only announced that it has already shipped its first batch of 220 humanoids to around 30 countries. It's assumed the first units will end up in Omoda and Jaecoo flagship stores around the world. So don't be alarmed if you see AiMoga greet you when you visit one of the brands' dealerships .

AiMoga is equipped with a 3D LiDAR sensor that “allows it to 'see' its surroundings in three dimensions, cameras with the depth of human eyes, a high-precision ultrasonic radar, and different microphones that capture sound from different directions,” the statement reads. It also highlights that AiMoga can perform “up to 41 independent movements and travels at one meter per second.” Sophie Liu also states that Aimoga “will adapt to different cultures and markets.”

The truth is that the final development of AiMoga has been truly rapid. Chery adopted the DeepSeek standard for its humanoid robots at the beginning of the year . And in April, it already announced its launch plans to its brand dealers. Although the group has already, as it acknowledges in a statement, "been investing strategically in AI technology for 15 years." It also asserts that "the integration of Chery AiMoga with DeepSeek not only represents a breakthrough in voice interaction technology . It also underscores Chery's strategic vision in the AI era: fostering an open ecosystem instead of technological exclusivity." AI, we never tire of saying it, is already here .
