Technology continues to advance, enabling all types of vehicles to be equipped with 100% electric mobility. This has led to a proliferation in recent years, not only of emission-free road motorcycles, but also of those designed for off-road environments.
One of the companies that has fully entered this market is Bakcou. More off-road riders who only travel on the road when absolutely necessary and are attracted to the field of electromobility may find the new Puma X22 very interesting.
The heart of the vehicle is an electric motor that can generate a whopping 22 kW of power (hence the bike's name). The maximum torque is equally powerful, with the vehicle delivering a total of 850 Nm.
In terms of performance, these figures translate into Bakcou's new creation reaching a top speed of 124 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just five seconds. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) is responsible for directing all power to the rear wheel.
Regarding range, the manufacturer claims it's possible to reach 160 km on a single electric charge, a process that can be completed in just two hours depending on the type of charger used.
The motorcycle's base is a steel and aluminum frame. It's worth noting that the total weight of the vehicle, including the battery, is 129 kg. This means the entire electrical system makes it heavier than an equivalent motorcycle with an internal combustion engine. As for the price, it's worth noting that it's around €8,000.
