The updated Chevrolet Tracker is now being manufactured in Argentina: what's changed and when will it go on sale?

The updated Chevrolet Tracker , one of the country's best-selling SUVs, has begun production at the Alvear plant in Santa Fe. It's an evolution of the second generation launched in 2020 .
Although it is also produced in Brazil, General Motors emphasized that production will be primarily for export, while also supplying the local market where it will be launched on July 24 .
For its manufacture, the Alvear Industrial Complex incorporated specific tools to optimize processes in the press and bodywork areas, while adaptations were made in the assembly plant.
Produced in the country since July 2022, the Tracker is the brand's most successful model in the local market and one of the leaders among all SUVs.
Updated front end with a new grille and dual-level headlight cluster. Rear end features revised optics.
Its strengths are compelling: it was the best-selling SUV in 2023 and the number one in its category in 2024. It currently remains the leader among compacts and will likely reestablish itself this year.
At first glance, certain tweaks to the car's shape are noticeable, including a new two-tier headlight cluster, a redesigned grille, and a bumper that integrates aerodynamic elements and auxiliary lights, now also LED. New wheels and taillights complete the look.
For its part, Chevrolet claims the interior's appearance has been improved thanks to a selection of materials and textures that are pleasing to the touch. The seats feature new contours and variable-density foam, which increases ergonomic support and comfort even during long periods of use.
The virtual cockpit concept is also reinforced by a pair of interconnected high-definition displays: an 8-inch screen in the instrument cluster and an 11-inch screen for the new MyLink system, featuring intuitive navigation, wireless projection, and high-speed response.
New features: 8" digital instrument panel and 11" multimedia system display.
Connectivity also includes native Wi-Fi, a remote control app, and advanced OnStar services, including the new Safe Tracking, which supports drivers in vulnerable situations.
In terms of handling, there are also significant improvements, with new calibrations for the electric steering and suspension. The engine, which recently incorporated a direct injection system, remains the 1.2-liter turbocharged engine, delivering 132 hp and 170 Nm of torque.
Currently, the Tracker range is made up of five versions; a five-speed manual transmission ($ 30,570,900) and four with six-speed automatic transmissions: 1.2 AT ($ 31,774,900), LTZ ($ 35,865,900), RS ($ 36,783,900) and Premier ($ 39,120,900).
