The two new traffic signs that the DGT has changed to support gender diversity

The Directorate General of Traffic (DGT) , in its latest overhaul of road signs, included several changes, two of which were implemented in line with inclusiveness criteria.
The government's intention, which has promoted these changes in the body that manages traffic in Spain, is to support gender diversity on traffic signs.
The two traffic signs are P-21 and P-21b, both triangular (which warn of danger).
This sign indicates proximity to a school zone. In the original, a boy was holding the hand of a smaller girl. Now, the boy and girl are positioned differently, with the girl standing in front, holding the boy's hand.

The change is similar to the one in P-21b, which indicates that we're entering an area frequented by elderly people . In this new update, an elderly woman is walking followed by a man. In the previous version, it was the woman who followed the man.
