The luxurious Bentley Bentayga SUV that Barbie doll would choose: you won't see one as peculiar and daring in the neighborhood.

When the 46 billion color and finish combinations available in Bentley's core palette don't satisfy a customer's vision for their car, Mulliner, Bentley's bespoke studio, is on hand to create something completely unique and one-of-a-kind. Such was the case for an American customer who, after owning several Bentleys, decided to "treat" herself to one in her favorite color. Her new Extended Wheelbase (EWB) Bentayga had to be a very specific shade that wasn't among the hues offered by the brand: bubblegum pink.

That's when the Crewe-based firm's preparation department stepped in to fulfill her dream and provide the desired finish through a custom order. The final choice, Candy Pink, gave her a striking final shade as vibrant and bold as Barbie doll's car.

With a color palette of 111 exterior paints, including solid, metallic, pearlescent, and satin hues, the offering is considerable. But pink hues are (or had been) an exception until now. Thanks to the Mulliner team, the client's vision was realized with Candy Pink, and the Blackline specification achieved a contemporary contrast with the vehicle's exterior. The door handles, exhaust pipes, trim strips, headlight surrounds, Matrix grilles, roof rails, and side air vents are finished in gloss black, while tinted rear privacy windows complete the car's dramatic exterior appearance.

The exterior is complemented by an interior accented with Cherry Blossom leather and matching thread, which even extends to the Bentley wings embroidered on the seats. And, of course, the client specified a number of features that couldn't be missing from her dream setup: a rear champagne cooler with a soft-close frosted glass door, installed next to the rear Airline seats for those moments when she decides to have someone drive for her.

Beyond the tens of billions of possible specifications on the Bentley options list, more and more Bentley customers are becoming involved in the design and configuration of unique vehicles, as part of a process Mulliner calls 'co-creation'. Vibrant colors, bespoke materials, and individualization elements are the primary choices customers make, allowing the team of skilled designers and craftspeople at Mulliner workshops to deploy their creativity and originality to serve the owners' tastes.

The Bentayga exemplifies the growing trend among Bentley customers toward personal commissions: 70% specify at least one Mulliner feature on their car, demonstrating the strong reception of a program that gives users complete freedom of choice to meet their personal preferences.

The interior is a showcase of Mulliner craftsmanship. Cherry Blossom leather was applied to the seats, center console, doors, gearshift, and steering wheel. Manufacturing a Bentayga EWB takes approximately 132 hours, of which 24 are required just to paint the body in white and another 18 hours to produce the trim panels and interior wood trim.

The Bentayga EWB offers the highest standards of rear passenger comfort and is designed as a vehicle to be driven by its owner, but also to be enjoyed with a driver. With more cabin space than any other luxury competitor, the Bentayga EWB Azure includes the most luxurious features, and, as expected, the pink-colored Bentayga EWB also received an extensive array of specific equipment personally chosen by its owner, a New Jersey resident.

First and foremost, the Bentley Airline seat specification stands out. This is the most advanced seat ever fitted in a car, with 22 adjustment modes, automatic climate control, and postural adjustment technology. The system can apply 177 individual pressure changes across six completely independent zones over a three-hour period, improving comfort and minimizing fatigue during travel.

And to further enhance the rear area, the rear-seat entertainment system and "Bang & Olufsen for Bentley" technology have been included. The iconic B&O speaker design is finished in aluminum with holes drilled at varying sizes and angles, using a unique Fibonacci pattern to achieve optimal acoustic transparency and create a contrast with the pearlescent polished surface.
