Stellantis surprises with its new electric van: larger, more powerful, and charges in half the time

Stellantis Pro One has started production of the new Cargo Box BEV at its Atessa plant ( Italy ), thus consolidating its leadership in the European light commercial vehicle market, where it maintains a market share of over 30%. This center, considered the largest in Europe dedicated exclusively to vans and the base of operations for brands such as Citroën , Fiat Professional, Opel, Peugeot, and Vauxhall, confirms itself as a true global industrial benchmark.
Cargo Box BEVThe big news comes with the Cargo Box BEV, a 100% electric commercial vehicle that combines strength and capacity. Thanks to its 110 kWh battery, it offers up to 323 kilometers of range, while the engine delivers 200 kW (270 hp) and 410 Nm of maximum torque. Also noteworthy is its impressive cargo volume of 18.3 cubic meters, which in the L4 version can be expanded to 20.5 cubic meters. The interior measures 4,500 millimeters long and 2,300 millimeters high, designed to meet the most demanding needs of professional transport.

One of the major improvements of this generation is the 22 kW alternating current charging system , which is standard and allows for a complete recharge in just 6 hours, half the time required before. This means that companies will be able to charge their fleets overnight and start each day with 100% available range.
Atessa: the factoryThe Atessa plant, with 1.2 million square meters, operates as a constantly evolving industrial ecosystem. With 15 kilometers of assembly line, more than 1,200 possible configurations , and the collaboration of more than 550 partners certified through the CustomFit program, Stellantis Pro One manages to customize each vehicle based on the customer's needs. From caravan bases to refrigerated vans, including specific models for large fleets, flexibility is its greatest calling card.
In 2024, the division experienced significant growth: conversion work with external partners increased by 25%, while customized units for large fleets doubled. In fact, sales volume of converted vehicles in Europe grew by 35%, consolidating Stellantis Pro One's position as a leader in this field.
Stellantis triumphs among campersIn the camper world, Stellantis maintains a dominant position. So much so that 75% of motorhomes on the road in Europe are based on the Ducato chassis, voted the best base for camper conversions by German magazine Promobil for 17 consecutive years. With more than two million campers sold in the last 20 years, the company demonstrates that its "Fit for Mission" motto is not a mere slogan, but the essence of a continuous commitment to innovation and versatility.
