How much does a SEAT 124 cost today? And a 127?

How much does a SEAT 124 cost today? And a 127?

In 1968, SEAT launched its 124 model , a C-segment sedan designed to appeal to Spanish families. Just four years later, in 1972, the Martorell-based firm introduced the 127 (B-segment), replacing the legendary SEAT 600 .

Both models were produced as a result of a commercial agreement with FIAT and quickly achieved good sales figures in Spain, although they ceased production in the early 1980s . However, both the 124 and 127 are still available on the secondhand market today and can be considered historic if they meet certain requirements.

What is the average cost of a SEAT 124?

This legendary model is available on several used car sales websites, such as Milanuncios , Wallapop , and Coches.net . Therefore, after checking several ads for the sedan, we can see that it typically sells for between €4,000 and €5,000 on average.

However, on some websites we have found fully restored SEAT 124s listed as historic vehicles with prices exceeding 15,000 euros . Ultimately, everything depends on the condition of the 124, as there are also advertisements offering this car for less than 1,000 euros .

The 127, on the other hand, can be found at a lower average price, ranging from €2,500 to €3,000. As with the 124, restored and modified models are available online for over €10,000, although these listings are rare.

On the other hand, there are several ads for this model with prices under €1,500 , although in many cases the seller does not guarantee that the engine will start. Finally, it's worth noting that both the 124 and the 127 could be considered historic in our country and thus benefit from this distinction.

Requirements to register them as historical

The new Historic Vehicle Regulations, which came into force last October, stipulate that the car must be at least 30 years old , that is, it must have been manufactured or registered before 1995. Furthermore, SEAT 124 or 127 vehicles must be in an original state of preservation .

In addition, to qualify for this category, both models from the Spanish firm will have to pass the inspection by the Technical Vehicle Services , as well as the MOT inspection to be considered as such.
