Here's what you should do to make your engine last an extra 400,000 kilometers, according to a mechanic

The good health of a car's engine depends on us. Proper maintenance will save us from serious breakdowns and, consequently, large financial outlays.
Scotty Kilmer is an American mechanic and YouTuber who explains in a video what you need to do to make your car's engine last more than 600,000 kilometers without any loss of performance.
Kilmer emphasizes the importance of oil and filter changes every 8,000 kilometers, explaining it this way: " Oil is cheap. Engines are very expensive." Another thing you should change frequently is the coolant, which should be replaced every five years.
Kilmer also recommends not getting used to driving your car to the limit of the fuel tank: " If you want your engine to last , don't leave it in the red , that wears things out faster."
The mechanic also explains the importance of the timing belt. If it's rubber, it should be replaced every 100,000 miles. The YouTuber also notes that these are "things you need to do to keep your complex engine running for hundreds of thousands of miles."
