Chinese company's new plant in Irapuato creates more than 1,000 jobs

Irapuato .- With the creation of more than 1 thousand jobs, where the hiring of women will be prioritized , being 650 of them , the Chinese company TYW inaugurated its new plant in the Centro Industrial Guanajuato industrial park in Irapuato .

Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, Secretary of Economy of Guanajuato , mentioned that this company will have a labor vision mainly made up of women, where it will not only give work to people from Irapuato, but also from Abasolo and Pénjamo , in addition according to directors they will have more expansion phases, for which there will be greater investment in the future.

"We celebrate the opening of TYW as a Tier One company. This is where we consolidate our economic powerhouse, where we speak of the increasing number of players we are consolidating the economy of the state, businesses, academia, municipalities, but, above all, people," said Villaseñor Aguilar.

He emphasized that the automotive and auto parts sectors, to which TYW belongs, are fundamental to Guanajuato 's economy, as there are more than 10 Chinese companies in the state that generate more than 5,000 jobs and have invested approximately $900 million in the state.

“This company is a global leader in the automotive and auto parts sector, especially in control panel technology. Founded in 2003, it has proven to be a pioneer in the development of new technologies, accessories, and mold development tools, as well as consulting and technology transfer for technical services and software development,” added the Secretary of Economy of Guanajuato.

For her part, Lorena Alfaro García , mayor, thanked the company for its confidence in Irapuato, as it is a privilege to host companies of global reach. She also said that this opening consolidates Chinese investment and demonstrates that the city is a strategic destination for industrial and economic development.

Today, Guanajuato is a powerhouse in the automotive sector, and we will continue to climb the ladder because the People's Government, led by our Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, is doing strategic work to encourage growth and attract new investments, as well as the establishment and expansion of companies," the mayor said.

The Chinese company TYW will produce electronic instrument panels for trucks and vehicles in Irapuato . These components will be shipped from Guanajuato to Korea and the United States , serving clients such as Kia and Stellantis.

Likewise, Dong Wei, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mexico, stated that China and Mexico are important emerging market countries and large developing nations with global influence. She said that “the parent company TYW currently has 4,200 employees and generates billions of dollars with 80% of its employees being women,” Dong Wei added.

Evelia Elizabeth Chávez is one of these collaborators, who affirmed that this company is a favorable place for professional development and invited more people to be part of the projects they have ahead.
