German tuners Brabus aren't usually satisfied with what standard cars offer. That's where their business comes from. But many enthusiasts of conversions know that this company really knows what it's doing, which is why it's so highly regarded on our continent. One of its latest creations has been named after a number: 1000.

Brabus decided to take the spectacular Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance, one of the best sports cars on the market, as its basis and elevate its performance to supercar level. This is how the 1000 was born.

At first glance, the car's sophisticated appearance is evident, but its strengths go far beyond that. Its enormous performance makes it a true beast in terms of performance. The latest version of this coupe, which costs around €250,000 as standard, is equipped with an all-wheel drive system.

Also standard, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 SE Performance features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine at the front and a 150 kW synchronous electric motor at the rear. The combination of the two generates a whopping 843 hp and 1,470 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 316 km/h.

However, these impressive figures weren't enough for Brabus. The firm has replaced the AMG powertrain with one that includes one of its 4.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engines and an electric propulsion system that offers even greater performance. Thanks to these improvements, the modified coupe generates 1,000 hp, an extraordinary, round figure that has been used to name the car.

Its maximum torque is equally brutal, reaching 1,820 Nm, although it is electronically limited to 1,620 Nm. The vehicle now accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reaches 200 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the top speed is 320 km/h and, like maximum torque, is also electronically limited, exceeding the performance of the production model.

Brabus hasn't limited its modifications to the 1000's performance. The gloss black car sports a striking carbon fiber aerodynamic kit.

In addition, the supercar features a more aggressive front end thanks to the presence of a new splitter, side skirts, redesigned wheel arches, and a much larger rear diffuser.

The interior has also received changes, with the cabin now featuring significantly more carbon fiber trim, quilted leather, and numerous Brabus-specific details. Pricing is unknown at this time, but if you're interested in experiencing this new road beast in action, just check out the video accompanying this article.
