A speed camera was placed on a street in Villaluenga de la Sagra, Toledo, and the reaction of its residents was unmistakable: "You're going to get a fine."

In Villaluenga de la Sagra, a small town in Toledo, the installation of a speed camera has generated a hilarious reaction among residents that has not gone unnoticed on social media. In a video that has gone viral on TikTok, several fellow residents gather around the camera, installed on a street with a speed limit of 30 km/h, to participate in a curious "speed race."

The radar marks the speed at which the participants run Neighborhood races with radar as referee

In the video, residents can be seen racing in the street to see who can reach the highest speed, even trying to exceed the speed limit. The first participants, including both men and women, reach speeds of 24 km/h and 27 km/h, which causes the radar to display a green smiley face, as they are still below 30 km/h. However, the climax comes when one of the participants exceeds 30 km/h for the first time, reaching 32 km/h, which causes the radar to display a sad face and a red number, indicating that they have exceeded the speed limit.

The video shows how the situation turns into a game of one-upmanship among the participants, with each trying to improve their personal best. Some record speeds of 14 km/h, 24 km/h, and 22 km/h, while the participant who had originally clocked 32 km/h tries again, unsuccessfully, to beat that figure.

The idea has caused a stir on TikTok. Rain of comments on TikTok

The activity, although completely harmless, has generated a large number of positive comments on social media. “Well, I think it's fun. The only bad thing is the disturbance for the neighbors, but other than that... they're just kids having fun with a radar, they're not doing anything wrong,” comments one user. Others express their enthusiasm: “Where is it and why aren't they inviting people?” While some celebrate the fact that, in addition to having fun, the participants also get exercise: “It's a good idea, they play, they don't bother anyone, they have fun, and they exercise on the way. More people like these,” adds another follower. Someone also joked about the speeding: “One of them is going to get a ticket.”
