The Mazda RX7 from Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift sold for over a million

The Veilside Fortune-bodied Mazda RX7 FD, featured in 2006's The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift , the third installment in the franchise that can be considered a spin-off, was recently auctioned by Bonhams for over €1 million at the pound-to-euro exchange rate. The kit commissioned by Universal Studios from Veilside made the car over 200 mm wider and modified the bodywork, leaving only the roof and rear hatch unchanged. Enhanced by an orange and black livery, it rides on 19-inch Andrew Premier Series Racing Evolution 5 wheels with Pirelli P Zero Nero tires.
Completely overhauled, with the addition of a new clutch, brakes, and suspension upgrades, it features a Blitz Nur-Spec exhaust system, while the engine, rebuilt by tuner RE-Amemiya, delivers approximately 280 hp, shifting a weight of approximately 1,050 kg. Following extensive work, the car has traveled just over 8,000 km.
Remaining intact, in a production that destroyed over 80 vehicles, this RX7 was driven in the film by Han, a former drift driver, played by actor Sung Kang. The #71 Hans markings, which identified it in the film, and the camera mounts still remain on the bodywork. One of the film's defining elements are the opening notes of the most famous song on the soundtrack, "Tokyo Drift" by the hip hop group Teriyaki Boyz.
