Take your motorcycle or bicycle on vacation with Poste Italiane's 2ruotExpress service. How it works

ROME – Enjoying a vacation without giving up your motorcycle or bicycle is a possibility offered by Poste Italiane's "2ruotExpress" service. For adventurous travelers and lovers of outdoor vacations at the seaside, in the mountains, or in cities of art, the national postal service allows them to ship their motorcycle, scooter, or bicycle in Italy and abroad and pick it up at the destination of their choice. This initiative, launched by SDA, Poste Italiane's express courier, includes the transportation of motorized or pedal-powered two-wheelers, with collection in Italy from any of SDA's 90 branches throughout Italy and in Barcelona, Spain. For other European and non-European destinations, the service is available upon request and is tailored to the customer's needs. 2ruotExpress also insures the vehicle against fire, theft, and damage, protecting it from any unpleasant incidents. More specifically, the motorcycle, scooter, or bicycle travels safely in special metal cages with special lashing straps to protect it from impacts. Furthermore, a satellite tracking system allows for real-time tracking to monitor the status of the shipment. The sender must visit the SDA branch of departure to witness the loading and lashing of the vehicle inside the special cage. To travel without luggage and deliver your bags to your holiday destination, Poste Italiane also offers the Poste Delivery Web service for shipping luggage and packages weighing up to 30 kg in Italy and abroad, choosing to have them collected from home, a different address, a post office, or a Punto Poste network collection point. The process is very simple, and the shipment can be prepared and completed online, from the poste.it website or the Poste Italiane app. You can also track your shipment's status, from departure to arrival, on the poste.it website or app. Simply enter the tracking number in the "Track Shipment" section or activate email or text notifications.
