Renault Group: free shares for employees and discounted subscriptions, over 95,000 subscriptions in 2025

A short but significant window of time , during which approximately 95,000 workers in 30 countries have chosen to become – or continue to be – an active part of the company's destiny. A number that alone tells a story of trust, cohesion and shared vision. Participation was high, passionate and concrete, with 3 free shares guaranteed and the possibility of subscribing for others at advantageous conditions in 24 countries. The signal is clear: the engagement strategy is bearing fruit.
This new chapter of the employee share ownership plan has translated not only into a symbolic gesture, but into a significant operation: over 1 million and 165 thousand shares subscribed, for a value of more than 36.5 million euros. It is the demonstration that the Group's workers are not simple cogs in an industrial machine, but aware actors of change, ready to invest in the common project.
According to Bruno Laforge, Chief People and Organization Officer of the Group, share ownership is now a fundamental element of the corporate culture. “By renewing this program,” he emphasized, “Renault Group confirms its desire to share the value created with those who make it possible on a daily basis. Our model is built on sharing performance, recognition and trust.” And the numbers speak for themselves: after the allocation foreseen by this campaign, employees will hold approximately 6.31% of the company’s share capital. A goal that is also a promise: that of building a sustainable future together.
A strategy that rewards shared commitmentThe 2025 plan has provided, in addition to the initial 3 free shares , a company contribution of up to 6 shares for each worker involved. In total, approximately 359,000 shares will be assigned free of charge. In addition to these, there is the share subscribed on a voluntary basis by approximately 48,000 employees, equal to 44.3% of those entitled, in exchange for favorable conditions. The shares will be held through a corporate mutual investment fund (FCPE) or, in some countries, through a registered securities account. A flexible model, suitable for a multinational like Renault, with different presences and realities in the various markets in which it operates.
All this shows how share ownership is not only a financial initiative, but also a powerful cultural driver. At a time when many companies are struggling to build a sense of belonging within, Renault is strengthening its ties with its employees, offering them not only a voice, but also a concrete stake in the company's destiny.
An industrial vision based on people and participationThe value of the operation goes beyond the assignment of securities. Renault's stated objective is to build a company where employees are an active part of the strategy. A company where economic performance is accompanied by a collective commitment to sustainability, innovation and responsible transformation of the automotive sector. A company that looks ahead with realism, but also with courage, aware that change requires widespread involvement and a shared vision.
The 2025 milestone is just the latest step in a journey that Renault has been pursuing for years. A journey that transforms daily work into lasting value, and that builds a new balance between human capital and share capital. Participation is no longer a marginal benefit, but a strategic lever to make the company more resilient, more reactive and more connected to the challenges of tomorrow.
Shareholders as a pillar of a new industrial governanceIn a global context where companies are looking for new forms of social legitimacy, Renault proposes a model where employees are also shareholders. Not only because they receive tangible benefits, but because this status strengthens their role within the organization. Holding shares means participating, even symbolically, in the strategic decisions and trajectory of the Group.
It's not just about rewarding: it's a governance choice. The 6.31% of the capital now in the hands of workers is the result of a coherent vision that values the contribution of people, transforms trust into commitment and consolidates the corporate identity in an era of great instability.
Renault Group shows that even in a competitive sector like the automotive one, it is possible to innovate on a social level. The 2025 share ownership plan is more than an economic initiative: it is a gesture of trust towards those who contribute every day to building the company's success. A success that, today more than ever, is truly shared.
