Porsche Italia celebrates 40 years with two special editions of 911 Carrera and Taycan signed Ferragamo

AREZZO – Four decades of innovation, performance and a solid relationship with its customers. Porsche Italia turns 40, celebrating this important milestone on the Italian market with a special gift: a limited edition celebratory series for one of its symbols par excellence and for one of the models that has marked the modern history of the brand.

The Italian branch of the Zuffenhausen-based car manufacturer has in fact presented the Market Edition 40 years Porsche Italia, available in 40 units of the 911 Carrera GTS, as many as the years that have passed since 1985, the year the Italian branch was founded, and 12 units of the Taycan 4S, a number that indicates the number of model families marketed in our country in these 40 years.

The two special series were unveiled at the Il Borro estate, owned by the Ferragamo fashion house, a choice that was not a coincidence given that the Market Edition 40 years Porsche Italia were created in synergy with the historic Italian company that in 2027 will also celebrate an important milestone, 100 years of history. Thanks to the collaboration between the two brands, the special Blu Sogno livery was born, which embellishes both the 911 Carrera GTS and the Taycan 4S, created in Zuffenhausen by Porsche's Exclusive Manufaktur department with great attention to craftsmanship and to underlining the ties with Italy.

The special body color has been embellished with white accents, with two stripes on the front hood and then with details also on the rims, finished in Dream Blue and with the hubcap that instead bears the Porsche logo, made in red for the first time.

On the 911 we do not find the Carrera GTS lettering on the rear and in its place there is only the model identifier, always in white with a tone-on-tone blue outline on the livery. Customers can then choose, at no additional cost, to add the Italian tricolor on the engine cooling grille. On the pillar there is then space for the celebratory badge "40 years Porsche Italy".

The passenger compartment is a triumph of Blu Sogno, for the seats and the dashboard, with the part in front of the front passenger embellished with a brushed wood insert, once again colored in the main shade of this version. On the backlit door sill there is the writing “Ferragamo” while one of the few optional extras that selected customers will be able to choose are represented by the glove compartment and the front trunk that can be finished in red leather.

“The partnership with Ferragamo came about while thinking about how to celebrate this important anniversary,” said Pietro Innocenti, CEO of Porsche Italia, during the unveiling of these collectible models. “10 years ago we did something similar but at the time there were fewer possibilities for customization while now there are endless opportunities for customization. We thought about combining the Porsche soul with something that could celebrate Italy and craftsmanship. So we started talking about how to combine fashion and automotive, trying to combine two worlds so different from each other to create something unique in its kind.”

The Porsche Market Edition 40 years have been shown in the form of renderings to customers, with some cars that have already been allocated. Sales open on June 19 with the sold out that already seems more than obvious. The price is respectively 284,000 for the 911 Carrera GTS and 205,000 euros for the Taycan 4S.
