Nissan, the new Micra focuses on electric

The Nissan Micra returns in 100% electric format, and it is completely new, as we had the opportunity to see during the static presentation in Rome. Based on the AMPR Small platform for battery-powered cars, it offers important technical solutions for the B segment to which it belongs, such as the multilink rear suspension and the e-pedal, for driving with just one pedal.
Under the rounded shapes that recall the first two generations of the Japanese small car, and with a body that is 2.5 cm shorter, 4 cm taller, and 3 cm wider than the previous Micra, we find a battery pack that can be 40 or 52 kWh, and an electric powertrain of 90 or 110 kW (122 or 150 HP). Numbers that are associated with interesting dynamic data, such as the 0-100 km/h sprint covered in 8 seconds for the most powerful version, and a range that can reach up to 408 km (data in the approval phase) for the variant with a 52 kWh battery. Charging from direct current stations accepts up to 100 kW of power (80 kW for the version with a 40 kWh battery), to go from 15 to 80% of available energy in 30 minutes. Comfortable for 4 people, it offers a 326-liter trunk with all seats in use and the passenger compartment is characterized by the two 10.1-inch screens located on the dashboard, for instrumentation and infotainment. The latter uses the Google Suite integrated with Google maps, Google assistant and Google play. Furthermore, through the route planner, it allows you to plan trips taking into account the location of charging stations, starting range and driving style. Equipped with all the latest-generation driving aids, including the system that warns occupants of the arrival of other vehicles before getting out of the car, the new Micra will be in dealerships from January 2026, while prices will be announced in July 2025, when pre-orders will also be open.
