Nissan confirms Rowland and Nato for Formula E's twelfth season.

Nissan confirms Rowland and Nato for Formula E's twelfth season.

Never change a winning team. The Nissan Formula E team has confirmed its driver lineup for the twelfth season of the all-electric series . Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato will once again drive the Japanese brand's single-seaters, with the Englishman ready to defend his world title. This is a sensible choice for the Japanese team, given the excellent results achieved this year, including the drivers' world championship and third place in the teams' championship, their best overall result since Nissan took over the team. Maintaining a stable lineup will allow the drivers to build on the progress made during the eleventh season and focus on their goals. Tommaso Volpe , Nissan Formula E General Manager and Managing Director of the Nissan Formula E Team, said: "After a very successful season, we have decided to keep our driver lineup unchanged for Season 12. We want to build on the good work we have already done and look to further improve on the work we have done both on and off the track since taking full control of our operations in this sport. I am confident that the stability and consistency we have built with Oli and Norman will help us continue our extraordinary growth and fight for all three championships next season."

The English driver had a spectacular season, securing his first world title in Berlin with two races to go and a remarkable trophy case: four wins, three pole positions, and seven podiums. Oliver Rowland will continue to represent the Japanese manufacturer for a sixth season thanks to a multi-year contract. The British driver made his full-time debut in the series with the Japanese team in season five, Nissan 's first in Formula E , and raced with the team for three years. The new world champion commented: "I'm thrilled to be signing a multi-year contract with the Nissan Formula E Team, which will allow me to compete in my sixth season with the team. What we've achieved since my return in 2023/24 has been extraordinary. Since I arrived in Formula E, the team has become my home, everyone offers me great support and I have a lot of confidence in them. The goal for Season 12 is to replicate and improve on what we achieved in Season 12, but we know how hard we'll have to work over the winter break to achieve the best possible results."

In his third season with the Nissan Formula E Team , Norman Nato will continue to race alongside Rowland. A race winner in the all-electric series, the French driver joined the team in season nine, where he regularly scored points, including an important podium finish on the Rome street circuit. After a year away, he returned to partner the new world champion, demonstrating strong race pace and even taking pole position in Miami. Norman Nato said: "I'm delighted to continue with the Nissan Formula E Team for another season, as it's always been my goal to extend my stay here. This will be my third season with the team and the second in a row, which gives me great confidence for the future. I still have a lot to improve on, but I'm not starting from scratch this year, so I'll be able to build on the experience I gained in season 11. I'm sure Oliver will once again demonstrate his great talent, and I believe that together we can fight for the teams' championship."
