MotoGP Assen, Quartararo amazing: he is on pole. Bagnaia 2nd, Marc Marquez only 4th

Fabio Quartararo is unleashed in Assen. The Yamaha rider takes pole position for the Dutch GP with a time of 1'30”651. For the Frenchman, it is the twentieth start in front of everyone in MotoGP, the fourth in the 2025 World Championship. The result underlines the competitiveness of Quartararo, author of the best time also between pre-qualifying and FP2. Second position for Francesco Bagnaia, the best among the Ducatis. Pecco pays just 28 thousandths, but can look forward to both races with confidence.
Alex Marquez closes the front row: the Gresini rider is third and precedes his brother Marc. The world championship leader marks Bagnaia during the first time attack, using his teammate as a reference. Then, in the final attempt, he fails the initial braking and has to settle for fourth place on the grid. Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) is fifth, followed by Franco Morbidelli (VR46). Fermin Aldeguer, the best of the riders promoted from Q1, Fabio Di Giannantonio and Pedro Acosta will start from the third row. Maverick Vinales is tenth.
