Verstappen, F1 revolution: out of Red Bull, towards yes to Mercedes

The reigning Formula 1 world champion, Max Verstappen , could change teams: the Dutchman, who has a contract with Red Bull until 2028, has reportedly accepted the offer presented to him by Toto Wolff . For the final acceleration, however, the definitive yes from the Mercedes board is still missing, who, given the regulatory revolution that will come into force starting next season, could still have, regardless of the drivers, the best car on the grid.
Toto Wolff's courtship of Max Verstappen has been going on for a very long time, for over 10 years: in the now distant 2014, in fact, the current Team Principal of the German team had done everything to bring the Dutchman, in his first season in single-seaters in European F3, into the Mercedes Academy with a view to his future in Formula 1. Helmut Marko and Red Bull , however, put a more tempting proposal on the table: entry into the Academy and a guaranteed seat for the following season. From here, therefore, the beginning of the pairing that has led the Dutch driver to win the last four drivers' titles with the Austrian team.
Where would Russell go if he left Mercedes?Verstappen's possible arrival at Mercedes would start the domino effect in the driver market. The '97-born driver would replace George Russell and would be paired with the 18-year-old from Bologna, Kimi Antonelli. On the other hand, the Englishman could replace the reigning world champion at Red Bull or join Aston Martin.
