KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli dominates the King of the Baggers at Laguna Seca

MILWAUKEE (July 16, 2025) – Harley-Davidson® x Dynojet Factory Race Team rider Kyle Wyman continued his dominance of the 2025 Mission King of the Baggers championship, setting a new qualifying track record and pole position, winning the Mission Challenge, and taking both races of the weekend at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, California. The race-prepared No. 33 Harley-Davidson® Road Glide® powered Wyman to six victories in eight King of the Baggers races this season, securing a comfortable 76-point lead in the overall standings.
Also at Laguna Seca, KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli earned a double victory in the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship presented by Roland Sands Designs and sponsored by Harley-Davidson® aboard a race-spec Harley-Davidson® Pan America® 1250 ST. Rispoli earned the pole position and won both races over the weekend, earning his first victories in the series. Wyman scores double in KOB
Wyman set the pace for the King of the Baggers field with a new lap record of 1:27.524 on the 3.601-kilometer, 11-turn Laguna Seca circuit, earning pole position in Saturday's qualifying session. He then won the Mission Challenge, a three-lap sprint race with prize money, beating factory Indian rider Loris Baz by 1.741 seconds.
At the start of Saturday's eight-lap main race, Wyman and Hayden Gillim (RevZilla/Motul/Vance & HinesHarley-Davidson rider) led the pack, with Gillim passing Wyman in Turn 7 on the first lap. On the second lap, the race was stopped due to oil on the track following a mechanical issue on Gillim's bike. At the restart, Wyman got off to a strong start, pulling 0.50 seconds ahead of Baz, Troy Herfoss (Factory Indian), and Rocco Landers (RevZilla/Motul/Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson). Baz and Herfoss battled for second place, with Landers lurking behind them. On the final lap, Herfoss attempted to pass Baz at the Corkscrew but ran wide, allowing Landers to pass him and take third place. Wyman crossed the finish line 2.059 seconds ahead of Baz, while Landers took his first podium of the season by just 0.083 seconds.
On Sunday, Wyman started out in the lead, but Gillim quickly passed him in Turn 2. Herfoss and Baz were right behind. On Lap 4, Bradley Smith (Harley-Davidson® x Dynojet Factory Rider) entered the fray. Smith and Baz traded positions several times before both went off the track on Lap 5. In the closing laps, Gillim and Wyman had a 3-second lead over Landers, who moved up to third after Smith and Baz went off the track. On the final lap, Gillim lost power while descending the Corkscrew with Wyman, who passed him to take the win by 1.449 seconds over Landers. Tyler O'Hara (Indian) took third.
“Patience obviously played a huge role for me today,” said Wyman, who now boasts a record 24 King of the Baggers wins. “Hayden rode really well all weekend. It's really a shame for him; he deserved the podium yesterday and today. I'm really happy for the Harley-Davidson team and the season we're having. When you work hard for something, good things happen. You just have to keep believing.”
After eight of the 14 rounds of the 2025 MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers championship, Wyman leads the standings with 186 points, followed by Baz with 110, Herfoss with 104, O'Hara with 86, Landers with 77, Smith with 76 and Rispoli with 63 points. Rispoli dominates the Super Hooligans double date
KWR Harley-Davidson rider James Rispoli earned two wins, while Harley-Davidson® Pan America® 1250 ST riders swept the podium in both races of the Mission Super Hooligan National Championship presented by Roland Sands Designs and sponsored by Harley-Davidson®. Rispoli earned the pole position on Friday with a fastest lap of 1:29.103. The session was red-flagged due to an incident on the main straight, when Jake Lewis (Saddlemen) collided with Cody Wyman (KWR). Lewis, the Super Hooligans championship leader coming into Laguna Seca, was injured and unable to continue the weekend.
On Saturday, defending champion Cory West (Saddlemen) led the first two laps of the eight-lap Super Hooligan race. On lap three, West ran wide in Turn 3, leaving room for Rispoli to pass and take the lead. Rispoli then pulled away from West by 1.5 seconds on lap six. Further back, over 3 seconds apart, were Cody Wyman and Hayden Schultz (both KWR) battling for third. Rispoli finished the race 2.707 seconds ahead of West, earning his first series win. Cody Wyman finished third, 0.263 seconds ahead of Schultz. Travis Wyman (Saddlemen) finished fifth.
Sunday's race got off to a thrilling start for Rispoli, who collided with Cody Wyman in Turn 2 amid a pack of 27 riders. Wyman went off the track, while Rispoli stayed upright but found himself in the middle of the pack. West led a tight pack that included Schultz, Travis Wyman, and Andy DiBrino (Competition Werkes Racing, Triumph). Rispoli set a lap record of 1:28.455 on lap two to catch the leaders. He was fifth after two laps, passing DiBrino in third and Travis Wyman in fourth. In the closing stages, West, Schultz, Rispoli, and Wyman were single file. Rispoli passed Schultz on lap six. In seventh place, West and Rispoli swapped the lead twice, with Rispoli making the decisive pass in Turn 11. With the lead in the standings, West avoided any risks on the final lap, and Rispoli won by 0.255 seconds over West. Schultz finished third, 0.441 seconds behind.
“Cody and I were locked together at the start, and I couldn't go left or right,” Rispoli said. “I was at the mercy of the situation and just hoped the bikes would separate. Then I put my head down and made some decisive passes where I felt safe. But everyone here is pushing hard. It shows how high the pace is in Super Hooligans. I'm happy to see my teammate Hayden on the podium too. A great day for KWR and Harley-Davidson.”
With two races remaining in the 10-round Super Hooligan Championship, West leads with 139 points, followed by Lewis (123), Rispoli (117), Travis Wyman (110) and Cody Wyman (96). The title will be decided August 15-17 at the Permco MotoAmerica Superbikes at Mid-Ohio, located at the Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course in Lexington, Ohio.
