Koenigsegg Jesko Sadair's Spear, created to 'go further'

Evidently, the wealthy customers of the Swedish manufacturer Koenigsegg were not satisfied with the 'emotions' offered by the Jesko Attack, one of the fastest hypercars in the world. And, probably, the founder and owner Christian von Koenigsegg did not like the fact that other racing cars in the Jesko category were beating it in lap times on the most important circuits in the world. This is why Sadair's Spear was born (named after the horse that Christian von Koenigsegg's father rode in his last race as a jockey in 1976), which is an improved version of the Jesko, designed specifically to obtain the best performance on the track. Even if it is a road-legal model, Sadair's Spear offers more power (1,625 hp with E85 fuel), less weight (-35 kg) and above all even more aggressive aerodynamics. This is 'told' by the enormous active double-blade rear spoiler and many other details also on the front. There are also revised underbody spoilers and wheel arch vents. The Sadair's Spear has a slightly longer rear end than the Attack, and there's a new set of Aircore carbon-fiber wheels with a directional turbine blade design. Production will be limited to 30 units, but — not uncommon for cars of this caliber — all have already been pre-sold at a price Koenigsegg has not disclosed.
Compared to the Jesko Attack, the twin-turbo V8 benefits from a new calibration and an improved cooling system, with power that - in addition to the record value with E85 - reaches 1,300 hp, or 25 and 20 hp more respectively. Drive remains on the rear axle via Koenigsegg's flywheel-less Light Speed Transmission (LST) system, and gear changes are made exclusively via the steering wheel paddles. The set-up - the manufacturer communicates - is focused on the track with suspension equipped with lighter springs and Triplex front shock absorbers developed in-house. Also in line with expectations are the improved multi-layer carbon ceramic brakes with more resistant pads. "The Sadair's Spear - commented Koenigsegg - represents a natural evolution for our company. With an impeccable balance of raw power, refined aerodynamics and extraordinary road presence. This car is destined to set new records. And to achieve such track dominance in a fully road-legal vehicle will be nothing short of extraordinary."
