Here comes iCaur, the new brand dedicated to young people from the Chery group: starting with the V23 off-road vehicle

ROME - The Shanghai International Motor Show served as a launch pad for iCaur, a new brand created by the Chery group for international markets that will land in Europe in 2026. Born from the synergy between the technological prowess of the Chinese giant and the internet-centric philosophy of SmartMi Tech, iCaur embodies an innovative and distinctive DNA, aimed at young people and those with a passion for a life of adventure and innovation.

The brand's philosophy is to masterfully combine design and technology, combining retro-classic elements with cutting-edge trends and the most advanced technologies. iCaur's product range includes both battery electric vehicles (BEV) and extended-range plug-in vehicles (REEV), with off-road capabilities, technology-oriented design and originality. Within three years, iCaur plans to expand its global presence to over 100 countries, establishing more than 2,000 specialized showrooms worldwide.

The Asian show saw the unveiling of the brand’s first global product, the V23 off-roader with its square and robust lines, featuring a fully enclosed grille with textured accents that connect the split headlights through horizontal design elements, with a distinctive personality and off-road aesthetic. Built on a brand new architecture with true off-road characteristics, the V23 offers high off-road capabilities, unexpected for its category. Its presence with the four wheels at the corners of the body, a wheelbase of 2,735 mm and a ground clearance of 210 mm, is characterized by massive wheels on 21” rims, while the rear seat legroom is comparable to that of B-segment SUVs.

The iCaur V23 also adopts a design that includes wide door openings and a flat floor to make the cabin more spacious. The two motors offer a total power of 155 kW / 208 hp, while the high-capacity batteries and wheels at the four corners of the body create, according to the company, an agile driving experience with cornering accelerations of up to 0.83 G. It should also be noted that for those who love customizing their car, the iCaur V23 offers 24 modular components, removable wheel arches, interchangeable bumpers, high brake lights in "Lego" style. This open ecosystem allows users to combine the components to obtain a personalized style, from aesthetic decals to performance upgrades and there is also a wide range of accessories in line with the lifestyle of young people for off-road, camping and all the latest lifestyle trends. The V23 also offers intelligent connectivity thanks to its next-generation operating system powered by Chery's Falcon Pilot 500 processor, with voice control to activate navigation, music and climate control settings. Finally, advanced driver assistance functions such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking and parking sensors are available to support drivers.
