MotoGP: Marc Marquez wins the sprint in the Czech Republic, Quartararo fifth
Spaniard Marc Marquez, leader of the MotoGP world championship standings, won the sprint race at the Czech Grand Prix this Saturday at the Brno circuit. Frenchman Fabio Quartararo finished fifth, a few places ahead of his compatriot Johann Zarco in eighth.
Marc Marquez (Ducati) won his 11th sprint race of the season out of 12 contested, ahead of the KTMs of Pedro Acosta and Enea Bastianini and the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), on Saturday at the Brno circuit in the Czech Republic.
Current world championship leader Marquez continues to crush the competition in his quest for a seventh MotoGP world championship title.

But the Spaniard, like his Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia, experienced tire pressure problems. Both riders had to slow down mid-race and let competitors pass to increase the pressure, which was in danger of falling below the minimum.
Marc Marquez regained his position on the penultimate lap, but Italian Bagnaia only finished 7th despite starting from pole position.
The other Frenchman competing in MotoGP, Johann Zarco (Honda-LCR), finished 8th.
