The difficulties of this crisscrossing, which are expected to last until Monday , had already begun on Friday, a day classified as red for departures, from Hauts-de-France to Brittany, via Normandy, Ile-de-France and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
Traffic was heavy on Friday from early morning until mid-evening. Sunday was classified as a yellow day for the outbound direction. Last year, a peak of more than 1,050 kilometers of cumulative traffic jams was recorded during this summer traffic jam, according to Bison Futé.
