Marc Marquez wins the Aragon Grand Prix


Marc Marquez was very happy on the podium on Sunday.
Spaniard Marc Marquez (Ducati) dominated the Aragon Grand Prix, the eighth round of 22 in the Moto GP season, and confirmed his superiority on the Motorland circuit on Sunday in Alcaniz.
The six-time world champion, who started from pole position, dominated the race, leading from start to finish ahead of his younger brother Alex Marquez (Ducati-Gresini) and his Italian teammate Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati).
To the delight of his tens of thousands of fans dressed all in red, the Catalan thus secured his 66th victory in the premier class, the seventh in eleven GPs on the Aragonese circuit where he truly feels at home.
Thanks to this new Sunday success, the fourth of the season, Marc Marquez strengthens his position as leader in the world championship and is now ahead of his brother and his garage neighbor by 32 and 93 points respectively.
Spaniard Pedro Acosta (KTM) took fourth place, ahead of two other Ducatis, those of Italian Franco Morbidelli (VR46) and Spanish rookie Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini), who engaged in a superb duel for fifth position.
Spaniard Joan Mir (Honda) finished seventh, ahead of Italian Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia), who made a superb comeback after starting 20th, while Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati-VR46) and Spaniard Raul Fernandez (Aprilia-Trackhouse) completed the top 10.
