LIVE. Black day on the roads: more than 1,000 km of traffic jams accumulated during the traditional summer rush hour.

For this first weekend of August, the main black spots were, as usual, on the A7, towards the Mediterranean, with 108 km of traffic jams. Traffic was slowed even further by the occurrence of two accidents. 102 km of traffic jams were recorded on the A9, also towards the Mediterranean, and 125 km on the A10, leading to the Atlantic coast.
The A71, which crosses the Massif Central, is also badly affected, with 64 km of traffic jams, after an accident early in the morning which blocked traffic.
In the Île-de-France region, traffic is also disrupted on the A10 and A6 motorways, as well as on the roads that converge there, such as the A86 and the A6B.
At midday, the driving time on the A7 between the south of Lyon and Orange (Vaucluse) was 2 hours 35 minutes instead of 1 hour 35 minutes normally, and 3 hours 25 minutes instead of 1 hour 40 minutes on the A9 between Orange and Narbonne, according to the X account of Vinci Autoroutes, which manages these routes.
