Dutchman Max Verstappen put in a strong performance on Saturday at Monza (Italy) by setting the absolute track record (1'18"792) during qualifying, taking pole position for the Italian Grand Prix, ahead of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Max Verstappen , the reigning four-time Formula 1 world champion, will start Sunday from pole position for the Italian Grand Prix, the 16th round of 24 this season, ahead of the two McLarens leading the world championship.

The Red Bull driver beat second-placed Briton Lando Norris by 0.77 seconds in qualifying on Saturday. Behind him, the other McLaren, that of championship leader Oscar Piastri , will start from the second row alongside the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, who is fourth.
