For the launch of its campaign, which took place at Pesados Central , the official dealership of the Central Market, Volkswagen Trucks and Buses brought together female drivers, press and collaborators of the brand.
Practical tools for self-examination were shared, and the need to complement it with annual medical checkups was reinforced. A key statistic underscores the importance of these types of initiatives: currently, three out of ten women still do not undergo routine checkups , which exposes them to the serious risk of late diagnoses.
Analaura Zotti, Marketing Manager of Volkswagen Trucks and Buses, along with the influencers who are supporting the campaign.“Today we are here with another theme that we hope to make viral. Our campaign is called 'Prevention is the engine of your future ,' which aims to ensure that all women can access timely prevention and care for this important issue of breast cancer,” says Analaura Zotti , Marketing Manager of Volkswagen Trucks and Buses.
Agustina Clemente, journalist and founder of @wikicancerarg, told her story. The day included testimonies that connected from experience: participants included Agustina Clemente (journalist and founder of @wikicancerarg ) and Diego Staropoli , representative of the Mandinga Tattoo Foundation ( @fundacionmandingatattoo), an organization that offers free breast areola reconstruction to women who have gone through breast cancer.
Natasha Lalo (@natu.lalo) and her team were in charge of the catering. The proposal also had a connection to the trucking world : grill master Natasha Lalo (@natu.lalo) was in charge of the catering, and friendly brands such as Ruggeri Bags and Eli Belizan (“the flower girl”) contributed to amplify the message and treat the participants.
Daiana Ruggeri, from Ruggeri Bags, attended the event. The campaign “Prevention is the engine of your future” is not an isolated action by Volkswagen Trucks and Buses , but rather the culmination of five years of work guided by the same common thread: reaching out to the community and raising awareness about key issues through moving stories.
It all started in 2020 when Norma Arrúa, from Simplemente Camioneras (Simply Truck Drivers), contacted Volkswagen Trucks and Buses to convey some of the needs they were facing as a result of the pandemic. Then, among other actions, the brand began distributing COVID-19 kits.

They then donated these to the Nordelta Foundation for use by the children in the program.
In 2022, among other initiatives, they launched a skincare campaign, which included dermatological checkups and digital prevention materials. And in 2023, coinciding with the launch of the first electric truck manufactured in the region, e-Delivery, they planted over 500 trees.
A diverse group of women participated in the Volkswagen Trucks and Buses event for Pink October. For years, Volkswagen Trucks and Buses has been present every Pink October with a specific objective: to increase awareness and support those who work on and around a heavy vehicle.
Eli Belizan (@elilachicadelasflores), present with Volkswagen Trucks and Buses. In the talk, Agustina Clemente shared her personal story, a perfect example of how timely self-examination is key to overcoming the disease. Furthermore, as she does daily through @wikicancerarg , she shared advice on how to cope with the different stages of cancer: the moment of diagnosis, chemotherapy, fertility, and post-treatment feelings.
Diego Staropoli summarized the work he does with his Mandinga Tattoo Foundation : “We are a tattoo studio that has been around for 32 years, and 15 years ago I started tattooing women who have survived breast cancer. What I do is breast areola reconstruction free of charge.”

The primary health recommendation is to have regular mammograms based on age and risk, in addition to maintaining gynecological checkups and adhering to comprehensive health care habits.
October 19th is also commemorated as International Breast Cancer Awareness Day , a day that calls for community actions, the lighting of buildings and monuments in pink, and awareness campaigns that promote timely diagnosis and effective access to the health system.
