Off-road enthusiasts dream of a vacation where they can not only access challenging terrain with their 4x4 vehicle, but also feel like explorers and be self-sufficient even in the most remote locations.
Wanting to abandon the idea that camping and adventure are synonymous with discomfort, a Catalan company has drawn inspiration from the popular American teardrop-shaped mini-caravans to design its own 'made in Barcelona' version.

This is how Drop Campers created the Drop X4, a unique and pioneering ultra-compact caravan in its class, innovative and with excellent standard equipment that has already made the Catalan team a name for itself in both Europe and the United States.
As durable as it is comfortable, autonomous and self-sufficient, the Drop X4 is capable of tackling all types of terrain and climates. It's one of the most complete all-terrain mini-caravans on our continent, perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of off-grid living.
With a length and width similar to a car, it packs everything you need for a family getaway or a group of five people into a very small space. It offers two spaces on two levels thanks to its pop-up roof, a first for this type of ultra-compact recreational vehicle.

The first space features a living-dining room that converts into a double bed, as well as a convenient kitchen with a sink, mini-fridge, and induction cooktop, and a full bathroom that also includes a shower and a cassette toilet. From the interior, you can access the upper area, where there is another double bed.

This area is surprisingly spacious and features plenty of storage space. It also offers views of the outdoors and plenty of natural light thanks to its windows, something unusual in this type of minivan.
Each unit is carefully manufactured using a reinforced aluminum chassis as a base and, above it, a 30 mm thick aluminum sandwich panel body that makes the vehicle lightweight and insulates it from the elements.

A customizable suspension supports the entire build. Ironman shocks are used as standard, and a Prodefender Dakar Pro twin-shock system with compression adjuster is available. A winch, spare tire, GPS tracking system, ski rack, and bike rack are also available as options.

An electronic system allows travelers to enjoy complete autonomy and comfort during their getaway. The mini-caravan comes standard with 305W of power from the roof-mounted solar panel, a 200Ah lithium battery, and a 1,200W inverter, with the option to add more power.
It's worth remembering that this is more than what some rivals twice its size offer. In the attached video, you can learn more about this mobile home manufactured in the province of Barcelona.
