The stratospheric megayacht that just sold for more than 80 million

As in most sectors, in the nautical sector, there are options for all tastes, but not always for all budgets. Especially if we look at alternatives like the one you can see in the photographs. This is a megayacht that only a select few can afford, and it has been accompanied by one of the highest transactions in the world of secondhand private boating this year.

The name of this marvel is Amaryllis, and it's one of today's most impressive megayachts in terms of size, design, and exclusivity. This 78-meter-long colossus, built in Germany in 2011 by the Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard, could also be considered a floating art gallery, boasting countless works and items worthy of collectors' items.

The vessel 's decor is inspired by the Belle Époque and was designed by specialists from the British design studio Reymond Langton. Until just a few days ago, the Amaryllis had only one owner, but now it has changed hands for the first time.

To get an idea of the level of exclusivity this megayacht commands, we must consider that its previous owner rented it out, when not in use, for almost €700,000 a week. This means he wasn't the only one who was able to enjoy the highest level of luxury on this stratospheric vessel since its construction.

The Amaryllis goes beyond admirable design and decor. It also elevates comfort to unmatched heights. It is designed to accommodate 12 guests in six imposing cabins and can also accommodate a crew of 23.

The master suite features a huge terrace with stunning panoramic views. Not to be missed is the onboard Asian Spa, which includes a pool, sauna, massage room, hammam, and gym. And all this without forgetting the Jacuzzi on the sun terrace, which, in addition to being generously sized, features a spectacular color-changing lighting system.

All of this has led to the Amaryllis being sold for around 84 million euros, a figure within reach of very few. But that's not all, as it also comes with an annual maintenance cost of no less than 8.5 million euros.

If you're not satisfied with just the photographs and want to immerse yourself (almost) in the luxurious atmosphere offered by this extraordinary vessel, just take a look at the video accompanying this article.
