The star vehicle in the European market is a technological and family SUV

Kia continues to thoroughly update its attractive range of cars. Beyond recent and interesting new releases such as the 100% electric EV3, EV4, and EV5, the Korean brand continues to resolutely invest in one of the star SUVs in the European market, the Sportage. Indeed, the leader of the compact SUVs, Kia's best-selling car, arrives with numerous improvements in design, technology, innovation, and comfort to continue to win the approval of European drivers. And also of Spanish users, as more SUVs are sold in our country than ever before, and the Sportage is one of the favorites. This is due to its versatility, its elevated driving position, its visibility, its easy access, and, of course, the variety of engines and technologies it offers.
Kia's best-selling vehicle, with more than 7 million units delivered, is now being launched in Europe in its best-ever version. It sets a new standard in the competitive compact SUV segment. And as part of Kia's ongoing commitment to responsible mobility, it is available in mild hybrid (MHEV), hybrid (HEV), and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) versions.
This allows customers to choose the vehicle that best suits their needs. In a rare technological variety, Kia offers technologies that combine gasoline or diesel engines with electrification or the most comprehensive hybridization currently available, the PHEV or plug-in hybrid.

Users can choose between a Sportage 1.6 CRDi 48V (diesel MHEV) with 136 hp, front-wheel drive, and a manual or dual-clutch DCT transmission; a Sportage 1.6 T-GDi gasoline engine with 150 or 180 hp, front-wheel drive or AWD, and a manual or dual-clutch DCT transmission; or the Sportage HEV (gasoline hybrid) with 239 hp, front-wheel drive or AWD, and a DCT transmission. Finally, at the top of the range is the Sportage PHEV, with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, 288 hp, a six-speed DCT transmission, and the option of combining it with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Thanks to its battery, the PHEV, or plug-in hybrid, can travel more than 70 km in electric mode, allowing for emission-free daily use.
The Sportage is one of the models that best embodies Kia's innovative and technological spirit. With a full range of engines and a focus on electrification, it is the brand's sales leader in Spain. An excellent example of what Kia stands for today. It has very appropriate dimensions for a family car. It's large and suitable for everyday use and, obviously, for weekend getaways or vacations.
It measures 4.54 meters (slightly longer than the previous model) and has a trunk that can hold, depending on the version, 526, 540, 562, or 587 liters of usable, easy-to-access capacity. The wheelbase has been reduced to meet the preferences of European SUV customers, but without compromising interior space.

The spaciousness is remarkable, both in the front and rear seats. Even tall people, over 1.80 meters, will feel comfortable thanks to the legroom and headroom. Kia includes remote folding rear seats and a practical double bottom in the trunk for storing unnecessary items or clothes that we want to keep in the car. Its compact size on the outside also makes it suitable for use in the city. It parks easily and has excellent visibility.
Kia continues to embrace the "Opposites United" design philosophy, giving the Sportage a striking new look. Smooth surfaces combine with robust shapes and a striking stance, making the Sportage equally suited to urban exploration and off-road adventure. New front and rear bumpers create a strong presence, featuring striking LED Star Map lighting and the distinctive Tiger Nose grille. New wheels are also available in 17-, 18-, and 19-inch sizes, with exclusive versions available for the GT-Line trim.
Inside, we highlight the steering wheel, which features a new two-spoke design, and the updated dashboard, with hidden air vents that create a sleek, minimalist finish. New seat upholstery adds even more comfort. The GT-Line features an elegant mix of synthetic leather and suede interior in black and white.

In the cockpit, the driver can enjoy two 12.3-inch curved panoramic screens and a new 10-inch head-up display (HUD). All functions and information are positioned within easy reach and view of the driver, including driver assistance systems, infotainment, and detailed route guidance.
Connectivity and in-vehicle options have been further enhanced with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Kia Connect and remote OTA updates allow access to specific features and services, check the status of the vehicle's locks, or plan routes. The Sportage's Feature-on-Demand (FOD) platform allows drivers to add games, YouTube, and other video streaming services via WebOS, as well as new designs for the infotainment system screen.

On the other hand, through the Kia In-Car Payment system, drivers can pay for on-street parking directly from their car, while the available Wi-Fi hotspot connects up to five devices to the internet with 4G LTE. It also features a number of driving aids, such as Lane Departure Warning with cameras that project the side view onto the dashboard, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Emergency Braking Assist with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
