Renault launches the Clio Generation, a special series with more equipment and a reduced price.

Renault launches the Clio Generation, a special series with more equipment and a reduced price.

Renault has unveiled the Renault Clio Generation, a new limited-edition version of its iconic urban model based on the "Evolution" version. It comes with significantly more comprehensive equipment and a lower entry-level price than its predecessor, starting at €16,590.

The "Generation" designation is not foreign to Renault's strategy, having already used it in 2010 with the Mégane Generation to offer a similar value-price ratio. Now, the French brand is bringing back this spirit for the Clio. With this limited series, Renault seeks to strengthen the competitiveness of its flagship model in an increasingly competitive segment.

This strategy seeks to maintain the Clio's status as a true commercial phenomenon, with nearly 16 million units sold globally and more than a million in Spain since its debut in 1990.

The added value of this limited series lies in the inclusion, at no extra cost, of key elements for comfort and aesthetics. The Clio Generation includes a rearview camera, a highly sought-after feature that facilitates parking maneuvers in urban environments.

Added to this is the "look pack," which enhances its design with tinted rear windows, elegant 16-inch Boavista alloy wheels, and a chrome front grille that gives it a distinctive and sophisticated touch.

Renault offers this model with two engine options at the same price. First, the 90 hp TCe gasoline engine, a turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 90 hp and 160 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. It stands out for its smoothness and low fuel consumption, positioning it as one of the most balanced options in its category, ideal for daily driving.

For those looking for a more environmentally friendly and economical option, the Clio Generation is also available with the Eco-G 100 hp engine. This bi-fuel solution combines gasoline and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), offering 100 hp of power and 170 Nm of torque. It not only reduces CO₂ emissions by 8% compared to an equivalent gasoline engine, but also provides a combined range of over 1,000 kilometers thanks to its two tanks, ensuring reliability and ease of use thanks to its direct factory integration.

Personalization is also part of the Clio Generation offering. Customers can choose from four colors: the classic Glacier White at no extra cost, or three metallic shades (gloss black, slate gray, and lightning blue) for an additional 350 euros.

Additionally, the "keyless package" is available for 270 euros, which adds a hands-free card, electric folding and defrosting mirrors, automatic headlights, and a rain sensor. For those who only want the convenience of keyless entry, this feature can be added separately for 220 euros.

Orders for the Renault Clio Generation are now open, and the first units of this highly anticipated limited series are expected to arrive at Spanish dealerships next August, just in time for those looking for a modern, well-equipped, and affordable city car.
