Mud, rocks, rivers, and slopes: this is how the Avenger 4xe handles the Jeep Academy.

At 20Minutos, we had the opportunity to test the new Jeep Avenger 4xe at the Jeep Academy, an environment designed to challenge the off-road capabilities of the brand's vehicles. During the day, the Avenger 4xe demonstrated surprising performance when tackling difficult terrain, river fording, mud, climbs, descents, and bridge crossings . Although most buyers probably won't use it in such extreme conditions, it's always good news to know that, as expected of a Jeep, the Avenger 4xe is prepared for it.
Robust and functional designThe Jeep Avenger 4xe features a design with reinforced front bumpers with anti-scratch zones, specific fog lights, roof rails, and M+S tires for improved off-road performance. It also features improved underbody protection and a rear tow hook, elements that reinforce its off-road capability. Green details, such as the X signature on the front bumper and the 4xe lettering on the tailgate, add a distinctive touch to this version.

Inside , comfort and practicality are prioritized with a black headliner, waterproof and easy-to-clean seats, and premium finishes such as the specific 4xe logo on the dashboard.
Off-road capabilities
The Avenger 4xe offers improved off-road angles: 22° approach, 21° turning angle, and 35° departure, along with a ground clearance of 210 millimeters and a wading capacity of up to 400 millimeters; which we tested well in a river that was flowing strongly due to the intense rainfall of recent months in Spain . Its intelligent all-wheel drive system adapts torque distribution according to speed and the selected driving mode, and the Selec-Terrain system allows you to choose between Auto, Snow, Sand & Mud, and Sport modes, optimizing performance in a variety of conditions.
Hybrid motorization
The Avenger 4xe combines a 1.2-liter turbo engine generating 136 hp with two 21 kW electric motors located at the front and rear, offering a combined power of 145 hp. This configuration allows for all-electric driving at low speeds and is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Furthermore, thanks to this hybrid engine, the Avenger 4xe benefits from the DGT Eco label on its windshield.
The Jeep Compass was also present
During our visit to the Jeep Academy, we also had the opportunity to see the new 2025 Jeep Compass again, having seen it at its international launch in Italy , although we were unable to test drive it on either occasion. This new generation of the Compass is based on the STLA Medium platform and features a more robust and technological design. It will be available with hybrid and electric powertrains, and deliveries in Europe are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In terms of dimensions, the 2025 Compass measures 4,394 millimeters long, 1,819 millimeters wide, and 1,649 millimeters high, with a trunk capacity ranging from 420 to 1,230 liters.
Prices for the 2025 Compass in Spain start at €41,850 for the Altitude version with a 130-hp 1.5 e-Hybrid engine and go up to €51,600 for the Summit version with a 240-hp 1.3 PHEV engine and 4xe all-wheel drive.
