Is the electric car safe? Questions answered with scientific data

Is the electric car safe? Questions answered with scientific data

Despite the growing popularity of electric mobility, myths and misperceptions persist, hindering its adoption among drivers. To combat this misinformation, Faconauto and AEDIVE (Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility) have presented the "Electric Vehicle Safety Decalogue."

This document, supported by verified data and professional protocols, seeks to become a fundamental tool for clearing up doubts and fostering confidence in this technology.

Both organizations agree that electric vehicles have ceased to be a promise and have become an unavoidable reality. Therefore, the key to their consolidation lies in a rigorous educational approach. The decalogue will be distributed in two crucial settings: car dealers, as direct advocates of safe mobility, and residential communities, through property managers, who manage the coexistence with this technology in residential settings.

The document is an informative guide that strengthens the role of the dealership as a trusted channel and the property manager as a facilitator in residential settings. Both are essential for addressing concerns and contributing to the safe and well-managed adoption of electric vehicles. Safety, they emphasize, is built on useful and accurate information.

Backed by AEDIVE's technical expertise, the decalogue offers rigorous answers to the ten most frequently asked questions about the daily use of electric cars. It provides scientifically based certainties, countering misinformation that hinders both the sales and social acceptance of this technology.

"Dealers tell us daily that many customers believe in the advantages of electric vehicles, but still need technical certainty," says José Ignacio Moya, CEO of Faconauto. "This guide becomes a key tool for sales advisors to support that decision with solid, proven arguments. The dealership not only sells, but also prescribes safe, sustainable, and well-informed mobility."

Arturo Pérez de Lucía, general director of AEDIVE, adds that "unfounded doubts have proliferated in recent months, becoming real barriers to electrification." This decalogue, he asserts, "provides technically based clarity and accurately addresses the most frequent concerns of users, buyers, and managers of shared spaces."

The "Electric Vehicle Safety Decalogue" is now available for free download on the Faconauto and AEDIVE websites. Its strategic distribution seeks not only to strengthen technical support for customers but also to facilitate the safe management of electric vehicles in homes, thus contributing to accelerating safer and more sustainable mobility in Spain.
