Florencia Raggi and her relationship with cars: "I still miss one of them as if I had broken up with a partner"

Florencia Raggi and her relationship with cars: "I still miss one of them as if I had broken up with a partner"

Every driver has a different relationship with their car. Some see it simply as an object that gets them from point A to point B. But others develop a deeper connection with their vehicle. Actress Florencia Raggi belongs to this second group.

"It's not just a machine. It's something that brings us together with other people and brings back memories," the model told Clarín during the presentation of the new Renault Koleos in the country.

Raggi was invited to participate in the launch event and had some time to chat about her relationship with cars: " I feel like they're a part of me . I've had different cars and they've all been very special. Some I loved more, others maybe less. The car is someone I connect with, it's not just a thing."

The actress said she learned to drive when she was able to get her driver's license at 18: " I was very, very stubborn, and I ended up going to a driving school because I argued with everyone who was teaching me," she said.

As soon as he got his driver's license, he bought his first car "with savings I already had; I had been working for a while and had some money saved up."

Raggi is clearly proud of the first car she ever bought. "I bought a Daihatsu Cuore. Some people would tell me it was a (Hyundai) Tico, and I'd get angry and insist: 'It's a Cuore! ' I was like a Cuore ambassador. I had spent a lot of time choosing it, and it was very special to me because I bought it with my own money . It was very important."

-What do you value most about modern cars today?

-I really like technology and safety. And I'm also interested in the car's profile, which I think is a big factor in the car you choose.

-Yes, but as I said, I like it to be a safe car. One that I can drive fast within its limits, but that I know the car will respond.

-Several. Hahaha! I'd rather not remember them.

-What was the car you enjoyed driving the most in your life?

My favorite car, which I still miss like I'd just broken up with a partner, is a Volvo I had for many years. Everyone kept telling me I had to sell it, that I had to sell it, because it was so old, but I didn't want to sell it. I felt safe in that car, it was comfortable, I loved its design, and it was incredibly innovative. I shouldn't have sold it.

-What do you like about modern cars?

-Well, this Koleos they're presenting reminds me a bit of my favorite one. I think it's very nice on the outside, and it has a family-friendly feel too. And all the innovation and technology it has is fantastic. When I sat down and saw all the screens it has, I said, "Wow!" Everything related to safety, and the ability to see what's happening around the vehicle, seems super innovative and modern to me.

-Is it allowed to eat inside your car?

-Yes, you can eat it. It depends on what it is, and try not to make too much of a mess. But you can.

-What can't be missing from Florencia Raggi's car?

-Water, cocoa butter and a hand cream
