These Formula 1 tracks have seen only one winner

(Motorsport-Total.com) - Throughout the long history of Formula 1, there have always been circuits that stood out from the crowd – whether because of their layout, their location, or because they were only part of the racing calendar for a short time. Some of them share a very special feature: They have seen only one winner throughout their entire Formula 1 history.

Some of these courses were actually featured on the calendar only once, while others were there for several years. But regardless of whether they were a one-off or repeated, only one driver appears at the top of the results lists. A peculiarity that is often overlooked, but tells fascinating stories.
One example: India. The Buddh International Circuit hosted a Grand Prix for three years – from 2011 to 2013. Sebastian Vettel won all three races. The Red Bull driver dominated there at will and even secured his fourth world championship title early on this track in 2013. After that, Formula 1 disappeared from the subcontinent – and Vettel remained undefeated.
Alongside Vettel, Michael Schumacher also belongs to the exclusive circle of solo winners on a track - and like his compatriot, he also celebrated a world championship title there - but the track is no longer known for anything else in Formula 1 circles.
There are 15 such tracks in total, all of which have one thing in common: an exclusive field of winners. Sometimes it's a dominant period for a top rider, sometimes a lucky coincidence—sometimes both. And it always tells us something about the respective era.
Lewis Hamilton and Silverstone – that's a perfect match! The Briton has won his home race an impressive nine times, setting a Formula 1 record. But of course, Hamilton isn't the only winner on the circuit. However, there are also tracks where only one driver has won. And that's what this photo gallery is all about .
Our new photo gallery reveals which race tracks are part of the series, which drivers have won there, and why no one else has been successful on these circuits. It also features plenty of motorsport nostalgia, forgotten locations, and the occasional aha moment – even for long-time fans.
