MotoGP - Marco Bezzecchi leads the second free practice session of the MotoGP in Misano

Marco Bezzecchi has been in top form so far this MotoGP weekend in Misano . He took the fastest time in the second free practice session on Saturday morning.

The result: Bezzecchi won with a time of 1:30.624 minutes, beating Franco Morbidelli by 0.290 seconds. Luca Marini secured a one-two-three lead for the VR46 Academy riders. Pedro Acosta finished fourth, ahead of the Marquez brothers, Marc and Alex. Fabio Quartararo finished seventh, followed by Francesco Bagnaia. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Fermin Aldeguer completed the top ten.

Joan Mir complained of severe pain and lack of mobility in his neck after his crash on Friday and parked his Honda back in the pits after just one lap.

Crashes, defects & incidents: Augusto Fernandez suffered his second crash of the weekend on the new V4 Yamaha. He crashed at turn two, the same spot where he crashed in Friday's practice.

Brad Binder had to deal with a technical issue on his KTM RC16. The chain was broken, and Binder had to park the bike on the side of the track.

Jorge Martin crashed in turn one. He lost control of his Aprilia while braking.

Jack Miller had to go off the track in Turn 12, raced through the gravel at high speed and hit the air fence with his Yamaha.

The weather: Just like on Friday, Misano presented itself at its best for the second free practice session on Saturday morning. Under a cloudless sky, the outside temperature and asphalt temperature reached 26 degrees.
