Manuel Gonzalez will continue to compete in Moto2 for the German Intact GP team in 2026. A move up to MotoGP will have to wait for now.

Stability reigns at Intact GP in 2026! After announcing the contract extension with Senna Agius a few weeks ago, the German Moto2 racing team also confirmed Manuel Gonzalez on Thursday in Barcelona . Intact GP will thus line up next year with an unchanged and strong driver lineup.
Gonzalez's future was uncertain for a long time. With a strong start to the season and three wins in the first six races, the 23-year-old quickly aroused the interest of several MotoGP teams. He even rode a premier-class bike for Trackhouse Racing at the Aragon test , and Pramac-Yamaha was also considering signing the Spaniard for 2026.
Pramac cancels: Yamaha chooses Miller instead of GonzalezGonzalez's options ultimately petered out, however. At the Hungarian Grand Prix, he received a rejection from Pramac Yamaha, which had decided to extend Jack Miller's contract . For Gonzalez, who currently leads the Moto2 World Championship by 25 points ahead of Aron Canet, staying with Intact GP was the logical option, which has now been officially confirmed.
"This year has been incredible so far," says 'ManuGasss'. "I'm regularly fighting for wins and podium finishes, and I'm leading the World Championship. I'm therefore delighted to be able to continue working with the team. It's been a really good journey together so far, and we'll give 100 percent for another year together."
Should he clinch the 2025 world championship title, he will have the opportunity next year to achieve a feat previously achieved only by Johann Zarco : defending his Moto2 title. Zarco accomplished this feat in 2015 and 2016. If Gonzalez can continue to impress next season, nothing should stand in the way of a promotion to MotoGP in 2027.
