Opel is expanding its new Grandland lineup with a top-of-the-line model. It's the first with all-wheel drive. However, prospective buyers will likely have to dig a little deeper into their pockets.
The Opel Grandland now comes with electric all-wheel drive. The new top-of-the-line variant of the compact SUV features an electric motor on the front and rear axles, producing a combined output of 239 kW/325 hp and 509 Nm of torque. A 73 kWh battery is expected to enable a range of 500 kilometers.
Visually, the Grandland Electric AWD stands out from the other variants with features including 20-inch bi-color wheels and a modified front fascia. The Rüsselsheim-based company hasn't announced a price, but it's likely to be in the region of €60,000.
The current Grandland generation has been on the market since 2024. In addition to electric front-wheel drive and now all-wheel drive, the sister model to the Peugeot 3008 is also available with a plug-in hybrid and two mild-hybrid petrol engines. In all three versions, only the front axle is powered. Prices for the series start at €36,400.
